DirtyDef drops gems like he’s got holes in his pockets.  The latest installment of his beat tape collection, entitled Lost Highway, comes chock-full of gritty samples, harsh snares and moody story lines.  One of the most inspiring tracks on the tape is Driver Down where DirtyDef mixes a high-strung piano lick with a whining saxophone.  The mixture of those sounds coupled with a boom bap punch creates an intensely involving musical atmosphere.  This is night time music, not for lullabies, but for a zoning out with your headphones as you escape the sunlight.  Download the whole album here.
